Help Firefox set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours by downloading Mozilla Firefox by 12:59 a.m., Thursday.

Recognizing Facebook’s huge membership — having been “recently ranked by M:Metrics as one of the sites people visit most often on their mobile devices” — Palm created Facebook for Palm. I downloaded and tried to install it on my Treo 650, but it isn’t compatible with my device.

StyleTap Platform, I learned, is a mobile software that enables thousands of applications written for Palm OS to run on other devices. Styletap for WM has long been available, while a version for Symbian is already in beta testing. The iPhone version will be released this July.

Juliana of Handycase.com e-mailed me this morning to inform me about the Palm OS freeware on their site. I checked it out and I found interesting, best of all, free Palm games and utilities.

Sprint, a telecommunication company in the United States, has a new television commercial for the Palm Centro, according to reports by Palm InfoCenter and TreoCentral.

The ad shows the different colors and features of Palm’s latest smartphone.

Palm OS may be on the decline, but I don’t believe it’s a dying platform… Palm devices are too useful to be “on the way out.”

Palm Infocenter just reported that another developer of Palm games is now offering its games for free.

After announcing that they would stop developing games for the Palm OS platform, mobile game developer PDAMill is now giving away their Palm games for free.
